Remembering Dolores Korpos: A Life Well Lived
Dolores Korpos, born on January 9, 1931, passed away on November 1, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Her daughters, Lynn and Michele, and son-in-law, Roger, were by her side during her final moments. Dolores, also known as Duz, Duzzie, Mommy Dearest, MOM-Mommy, and Mamacita, was a beloved figure who brought joy to everyone she met.
A Bright Spirit
Throughout her life, Dolores was known for her infectious smile that could light up any room. She was married to her husband, John Korpos, for 60 years until his passing in 2010. Together, they enjoyed a life filled with love, friendship, and adventure. Dolores had a passion for dancing, playing cards, Mahjong, and Scrabble. She was the life of the party, always ready to host guests and entertain with her warm hospitality.
Legacy of Happiness
When asked how she wanted to be remembered, Dolores simply said, “Happy. I want to be remembered as being happy.” Her positive outlook on life and unwavering optimism touched the hearts of many. Dolores was not just a mother and grandmother to her family but also a second mother/grandmother to countless others. Her legacy of happiness and kindness will continue to live on in the memories of those she touched.

In the wake of Dolores’ passing, her family expressed deep gratitude to the caregivers and staff from Hope Hospice and the Key for their unwavering support. In honor of Dolores Korpos, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Disabled American Veterans, or a charity of choice in remembrance of her life. Dolores’ spirit of generosity and compassion will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
