A beloved mother, sister, and friend, Gail’s infectious smile and warm hospitality touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy as an accomplished telemark skier, watercolor artist, gardener, chef, and all-around Renaissance woman will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.
A Culinary Maestro and Host Extraordinaire
Gail’s passion for entertaining and culinary arts shone brightly at the family cottage on Chebeague Island, Maine. Despite lacking formal chef training, Gail’s culinary creations were nothing short of extraordinary. From her famous sticky buns and homemade pies to her world-class wedding cakes, each dish was crafted with love and care. Her mantra, “It’s all about the crust,” was a testament to her culinary prowess and attention to detail.

Chebeague Island held a special place in Gail’s heart, where she immersed herself in the community and cultivated her love for gardening. In celebration of Gail’s remarkable life, a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, at 11 a.m. at the Lindquist Funeral Home in Yarmouth, Maine, followed by a luncheon to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gail’s name to the Chebeague Island Living History Farm, Chebeague Island Historical Society, or Chebeague Island Library would be deeply appreciated.
