Growing up in St. Regis Falls, New York, Lyle attended St. Regis Falls High School where he graduated in 1948, leaving a mark as a talented basketball player. His commitment to service led him to join the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952, with fond memories of his time in Germany. Following his military service, Lyle embarked on a successful career, working at Alcoa in Massena, Carrier Air Conditioner in Syracuse, and Coyne Textile Services in Syracuse before relocating to Burlington, Vermont, in 1957 to manage the Vermont corporate office for Coyne.
Known for his strong work ethic and reliability, Lyle rarely missed a day of work during his 37.5 years at Coyne, a testament to his dedication and sense of responsibility. Boyce Jr. of Burlington, Vermont; Terri Lareau of New Castle, New Hampshire; and Barbara Boyce of Burlington, Vermont. His legacy lives on through his eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish his memory and the values he instilled in them.
In addition to his immediate family, Lyle is survived by his sister, Edna Griffith, several sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
