Planning a trip to New England? Well, you might want to check out the Quechee Hot Air Balloon Festival in Vermont and the Maine Lobster Festival. Oh, and don’t forget to explore some of Boston’s best-kept secret spots.

So, like, let’s start with the Quechee Hot Air Balloon Festival happening from June 20 to 22. It’s the 45th Annual festival, and you can see a bunch of colorful hot air balloons floating in the sky. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even take a ride in one of them. Sounds pretty cool, right?

And if you’re more into lobster, wine, and live music, then the Maine Lobster Festival is where you need to be from July 30 to August 3. It’s like a dream come true for seafood lovers, with all the lobster you can eat, great music, and beautiful coastal views.

Now, let’s talk about Boston’s hidden gems. Natalia Ivanytsky, a local author, spilled the beans on some secret spots in Boston in her new book, “The 500 Hidden Secrets of Boston.” She shared 10 of her favorite spots, including the Revolutionary Women Tour and the Museum of Modern Renaissance. Not really sure why these spots are considered secrets, but hey, who am I to judge?

Looking to save some money on your New England travels? Well, I’ve got you covered. From cheap eats to free museum admissions to discounted hotel stays, there are plenty of deals to take advantage of this month. So, hop on a train to Maine or catch a ferry to Nova Scotia without breaking the bank.

Oh, and speaking of hotels, The Godfrey Hotel Boston in Downtown Crossing was recently named one of the top 10 hotels in America by Tripadvisor users. According to one user, it’s in a great location and very lively but safe. So, if you’re looking for a place to stay in the heart of the city, this might be the spot for you.

And let’s not forget about the new restaurants popping up in Boston. From Korean comfort food to tacos to plant-based pub food, there’s something for everyone. Be the trendsetter among your friends and check out these spots before everyone else does.

Now, onto some deals and steals. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Boston is offering 20% off gift cards worth $75 or more as part of a Mother’s Day promotion. And Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is giving a $50 credit for Bluebikes if you enter the code BLUECROSSMABIKE in the app. Plus, you can get 15% off a three-night stay at the Watch Hill Inn in Rhode Island. Not bad, right?

Before I go, check out this beautiful photo of Ogunquit Beach in Maine. It’s truly a sight to behold. And hey, if you’ve been on any cool trips lately, send me your photos at [email protected] Who knows, maybe your photo will be featured in the next Scenic Six newsletter.
