Brenden Sackal, a resident of Hopkinton, Rhode Island, faced a slew of charges, including attempted murder, following the July 14 incident involving Sgt. Joshua Mikkola and Trooper Richard Berlandy. Court filings revealed that Sackal led police on a 60-mile pursuit from northern New Hampshire to Burke, where he crashed his vehicle.
